4) Migrating to US on E2 Visa:

Settling abroad, especially in US, has always been the dream of many people. With each passing year, there has been a heavy influx of people immigrating to the US and that has forced the US authorities to highly regulate and streamline the immigration policies, thereby making it difficult for people to realise their American Dream. Though difficult, but it not impossible. With the correct knowledge and help, one can still immigrate to US. Having an investor visa is one of the most viable options these days. Many of us must have heard of EB5 visa which is a widely known investor visa. But there is also another investor visa which is an E-2 visa.

 

An E2 treaty investor visa is a non-immigrant visa reserved for foreign entrepreneurs of countries that have a Treaty of Trade and Commerce with the United States. E2 investor visas allows foreign investors to enter and work inside of the United States based on a substantial investment in a bona fide enterprise. 
India does not have an E2 Treaty with the United States. So one has to take the Passport of the Country that has an E2 Treaty with the US in order to be able to be eligible to apply. The quickest way is the get a Passport of Grenada. It takes 3 to 4 months to get Grenada Passport against an Investment in a pre-approved project in Grenada. After that, once can file for US E2 Visa. 
 

5)    E-2 requirements

•    National of a country with a relevant treaty with the US — e.g.: Grenada
•    Invest a substantial amount – typically around USD 150,000 to 300,000 
•    Invest in a bona fide enterprise in the US, new or existing 
•    Entering US solely to develop and direct the enterprise 
•    No requirement of Job Creation 
•    No minimum stay requirements
